Google Keynote (Dublin, Ireland July 4, 2025)
“Change is inevitable, but progress is a choice.” This was the topic of my talk at Google on July 4th, 2025 - Independence Day in the United States. This was an opportunity to have an intimate conversation with coaches about the importance of unconditional inner peace and our journey of self-actualization.

While not this explicit in my talk, I can be really blunt here on my blog. This is the first time in history that this generation of women have fewer rights than the women that came before them. That’s change, not progress. At the time of this writing, there are 947 anti transgender bills currently under consideration (118 have passed and this number is expected to grow).
Meanwhile, racism continues to grow and the number of unhoused people (formerly referred to as “the homeless”) has reached unprecedented levels. It is true that we can sit back and allow change to just happen. But if we’re committed to progress, then we need to make a different choice — one that requires sacrifice and discomfort.
We Want You: An Allyship Guide for People With Power by Julie Kratz
And this is what I love about our coach community. Everyone here is very much up for this challenge. I spoke about the importance of being an ally and what that means. I brought up a new book by Julie Kratz called We Want You: An Allyship Guide for People With Power. I just read it and it was very timely for the topic as there were great examples that anyone could use in various situations.
Ultimately, it all begins with putting our own oxygen mask on first. We’re no good when we’re hijacked by what’s going on all around us. Be awake and aware, yes, but to be in reaction doesn’t serve the greater good.
It is our clarity of purpose and seeing what must change for the better that will ensure the progress we stay dedicated to and refuse to deviate from despite all the chaos happening around us. The progress we choose is, indeed, important.
Post-talk networking (my personal favorite part)
After speaking, we had a powerful discussion. The questions echoed the importance of the topic and helped deepen the work we were all doing together. It’s such an honor and privilege to do this work with such amazing human beings. I love showing up in these spaces and witnessing the powerful lights that ignite in the hearts and minds of so many.
