Andamanda, Phuket (March 17, 2026)

Didn’t we do this back in November? Yes. What’s different? The fact that we had Will with us on this fine St. Patrick’s Day. When coming back to Thailand specifically for Will’s benefit, we wanted to make sure we hit all the favorites. Andamanda, the largest water slide park in Phuket, was certainly a top choice by all of us.

It’s true, you can’t visit the same waterslide park twice. It’s a different experience each time despite having the same slides available. This is actually the third time Elena, Violet and I have frequented this park. That’s ho much fun we have when we’re here.

We’re touching our green for St. Patrick’s Day!

We spent the day showing Will all the various favorites and were sure to join the park right before it’s official opening time of 10am. That first hour from 10am to 11am is the least crowded and the best time to hit the most amazing rides (as Elena and Violet can demonstrate):

Bank turns on an inflatable inner tube — such fun!

Now when it comes to getting your picture taken at Andamanda, you must be on the lookout for photographers who will give you a QR code on your wristband to identify you in the picture (and so you can purchase them on your way out).

Is this picture “Calendar Worthy?” Elena is always looking for 2026 pix

And sometimes, it’s best to take a waterslide down with the intent of being photographed (i.e. we ask the photographer to capture the moment as the four of us ride a simple slide together).

Organizing a family action slide picture is harder than you’d think

Will approves! What’s not pictured here is the lazy river, which Will decided could be a lot less “lazy” if we raced each other. Will won — even when he let all of us take the “short cuts” designed to speed up the lazy river — while he took the long way around.

Also missing is the wave pool. Thailand does wave pools right. They are very large waves that hit every few minutes for 45 minutes, then a 15 minute break. During the 45 minutes of waves, they are big enough to body surf and you can really get some distance on them.

And lastly is the actual perpetual wave which we all enjoyed. These are the pictures from last time for reference.

Boogie Boarding a perpetual wave (back in November)

Learning from last time, I went straight for this ride in the first hour the park was open for maximum ride time. Elena, Will and Violet all got to try out this wave too and enjoyed their time practicing their skills.

Great day together. At one point, I leaned over to Elena and said, “I don’t know how many more of these family water park days we have left, but I’m sure enjoying our time together today.”

This is why we’re so glad that Will is with us. Violet mentioned that the last time we were here in November, she said, “I wish Will was here to enjoy all of this with us.” Wish granted — for all of us.
