Wicklow Mountains, Ireland (July 1, 2025)

This is exactly how I imagine Ireland

Tall grass with large stones cropping out from it. Off in the distance you can see a few rams, sheep, and nervous deer who are not quite sure what to think about you. That was the experience as we hiked the Wicklow Mountains. I say “we” and you might be thinking I was with Anne-Marie Griffin, but as much as a bad ass as she is, her doctors would not be pleased with her if they discovered she was hiking these remote mountains with me. So while she drove us out there, it was with her husband (and father-to-be) Sean that I was doing the hiking.

I got an “Irish Tan” that day. Despite putting on SPF 50 in the morning and wearing a hat (not pictured above) I took off the hat when the dark clouds rolled in and felt a slight sprinkle. That was the “trick” of the Irish weather. You can feel the light rain while the sun is peaking behind the clouds and before you know it, your sunscreen has worn off and you being getting a tan … while also getting wet from the rain. Go figure.

Introducing Sean to AskBill.us

What do you do when spending the full day marching through the mountains? If you are two entrepreneurs, you talk business. Sean has successfully launched a digital marketing agency and has passed the 2-year mark. He now wants to scale his agency. I love these kinds of challenges.

We talked about narrowing his niche, crafting his irresistible offer, the five ways to generate appointments and converting appointments in sage ease and flow. I then shared how I used artificial intelligence to make it easy to meet business owners where they are at at any stage in their business using AskBill.us

To use a new phrase I picked up in Ireland, “fair play”!

Non-Alcoholic Guinness Zero

After a long hike, Anne-Marie, Sean and I sat down for an incredible lunch at the Glendalough Distillery where I ended up consuming a Thanksgiving-sized portion of chicken over pasta with a creme sauce and a Guinness Zero. I was so wrapped up in the beauty of the mountains and the engaging conversation, I just kept eating what was in front of me (an old habit I thought I’d broken).

It was a wonderful day spent with incredible friends.
