World’s Largest Lego Store (January 23, 2026)

Having visited the Lego House in Denmark (see related post), my only wish at that time was that Violet (and Will) could have been with me to take it all in together. Wish (partially) grated right here in Sydney. Turns out Sydney is home to the Largest Lego Store IN THE WORLD.

YES! So excited by what we stumbled across today!

That panoramic Opera House art behind us is made from Lego!

This store isn’t as big as Lego House in Denmark, but it gave Violet a taste of what’s there. Throughout the store, there were custom builds and artist renditions of all shapes and sizes. Even Lego Art designed to be sat on, selfied in front of, and just to keep you in awe.

I realize these pictures simply don’t do justice to the size of all this Lego art. The store boasts half of the Sydney Harbor Bridge built out of Lego overlooking the top of the entire beginning of the second floor. What’s so creative is that they built giant Lego pieces to scale out of smaller (regular size) Lego. It’s impressive.

Most of the artwork is themed to the Sydney area. From the Koala Bears to the Ferry going to Manley Beach. Perhaps this will provide a bit more scale and context.

They even had a graffiti wall. A white wall designed for kids (and adults) to build on as a form of Lego graffiti. So, of course we did.

Violet was here at the World’s Largest Lego Store on 1/23/26

Being the World’s Largest Lego store, it had many of the hard to find / buy builds available. Some of the most impressive builds were the landmarks and nature options. But you could easily see how Lego could take over your home (if you’re not careful). Not that this is a real “problem” so much as an invitation to see how some of this might integrate in the future.

And let’s not forget that Lego is educational too. We all learn as we build together. To reinforce this point, the “advertising” throughout the store was more focused on learning a little history of Lego.

Who knew that both Violet and I were, indeed, into “shopping therapy”? I always imagined that window shopping was not my thing, but clearly we had a ball together playing inside the World’s Largest Lego Store.

Many signs that Lego is LGBTQ+ friendly, too. A nice bonus.

This was great father-daughter time. Couldn’t believe when we finally left, we had spent a solid 90 minutes together in this store. True, we didn’t buy anything this time (mostly because we didn’t have space to bring it with us around the world). But we both continue to be impressed with Lego and have no plans to stop buying the massive sets that bring our family together as we build and play. Even Elena enjoys taking the bricks apart when we’re ready to ship them back to Lego to be reused and recycled.
